Spangenhelmet with Cheek Guards and Aventail, 2 mm steel

This is a combat-ready replica of a Viking Spangenhelmet from the 9th century. The helmet is made of 2 mm thick steel. The four parts of the helmet shell are welded and riveted. This processing and the overlap of the individual clips ensure strength and great protection during re-enactment. The helmet has movable cheek-guards on each side and a butted chainmail avantail to protect the back of the neck.

It has a 3 mm thick nasal and comes with an adjustable cloth liner. The two chin straps are made of cow hide and have a brass buckle.
