Child's Viking Dress Solveig  Red / Wine Red or Blue/Natural

This loose-cut dress is made of canvas fabric and comes with a fabric Colour-contrasting belt.

The slit neckline can be worn open or closed. The front and back panels are made of rectangular panels. Gents (wedges) are inserted in the middle and on the sides, giving the hem space. Under the arm, a gusset (rectangular piece of fabric) is inserted. The canvas fabric makes the dress sturdy and heavy and is suitable for spring and autumn. The cut of the dress is based on archaeological finds on the 9th and 10th century. Long dresses with cuts that were mainly composed of rectangles and triangles (geren), so as to consume as little material as possible were typical of the time..
