Rapiers
Renaissance Swept Hilt Rapier With Scabbard
The Swept Hilt Rapier could be found in Europe around the early 17th century. In the Renaissance period swordplay with the rapier was considered an essential part of education to the noblemen and was quite often used in resolving conflicts amongst them.
This Rapier has been hand forged from high carbon cutlery steel, ground and well polished. It is close to the contemporary originals in weight, size, and workmanship. The wooden grip has been wrapped with steel wire and the elaborate guard is all steel constructed. The spring steel blade is unsharpened.
A matching leather scabbard with steel fittings was included.
