A padded collar is almost essential for exhibition and free fighting. The collar was worn under plate and mail armour in the Middle Ages and increased the wearing comfort of the armour.

This collar is made from three layers of fabric: an outer layer of cotton fabric (canvas), a padding layer/padding made of polyester and an inner lining made of cotton. The quilting is diamond-shaped which ensures the highest level of comfort as the collar remains quite flexible. The collar is pulled over the head and closed at the centre front with laces. The high collar greatly increases the comfort of wearing pieces of armour or chain mail on the neck.
