Norman Sword With Scabbard SK-C
Norman Sword with scabbard, practical sword blunt
This sword is hand forged and can be used as a late Viking Sword as well as a Norman Sword.
The guard and the characteristic pommel are made out of heat-treated malleable cast iron. The spring steel blade is oil-tempered up to 48-50° Rockwell and hand-riveted to the pommel. The hilt is leather bound. The blade has a distinctive fuller which offers both great flexibility and a lighter weight. The edges of the blade are blunt and the tip is rounded for safety.
The wooden scabbard has been bound in leather and features a wooden belt loop (max. belt width 5 cm) as well as a steel chape.
This is the practical blunt version of our Norman sword.

Please Note:
Our swords referred to as battle-ready or practical are designed to suit the needs of historical re-enactment / stage fighting and to practice swordplay. The extremely brutal impact of cutting edge against cutting edge (or any other hard object) cannot be considered an appropriate use of these swords and may eventually lead to the breaking of the blade. The warranty we offer in such a case only covers material defects (e.g. hairline cracks in the blade or processing faults). It does not apply to damages resulting from a destructive or inappropriate handling of these swords. Please also bear in mind that a practical sword is basically and essentially an item subject to wear and tear.
