Medieval Wimple, Headscarf- Natural Coloured
A rectangular piece of cloth from cotton with rolled hems.
In Medieval times married women were expected to wear a headdress.
There were various ways to tie a wimple but it was normally bound around the forehead, chin and back of head and always concealed the hair.
