Medieval Bodice / Corsage "Tilda" with added hem, Brown or Black

Bodices came about in the late Middle Ages and are still a popular garment today. They give the upper body a desired shape and can be worn both under and over outer clothing. Compared to a corset, bodices (also known as corsages ) are less stiff and much more comfortable to wear.

This lace-up bodice is made of cotton fabric woven in a twill weave and lined with a thin cotton layer.

The added bottom hem - which slightly tapers down at the centre front - emphasises the waistline and creates a nice, flush transition with the underlying garment. The lacing at the front and at the lower back allows for a perfect, individual fit. The tie strings are equipped with metal tips that greatly facilitate the threading through the eyelets.

When combined with a blouse, a skirt and matching accessories, this bodice is ideal for the portrayal of a maid servant or a female pirate.

To take your body measurements correctly in order to determine you clothing size, please always wrap the measuring tape horizontally around your body at the fullest part. For tops, sizes are based on your chest circumference.

If you happen to fall between two sizes, we recommend that you go up a size.
