Our High Medieval Sword is made by hand from spring steel oil hardened to approximately 48-50 HRC. It has a full tang which is riveted through the pommel in the traditional way, the style of the quillon and pommel are of those found on 13th c examples with the grip wrapped with leather. The blade has a wide fuller which gives the sword great flexibility, the blade tip and the edges are blunt and rounded. The sword comes with a wooden scabbard covered with leather and has loops that will accept a 5 cm wide belt. The scabbard also has a steel chape.
