German Sallet Steel 1490 - 1.6 mm with Leather Liner
Our authentic reconstruction of this German Sallet 1490 is driven from 1.6 mm thick steel sheet . The visor is attached with hand forged rivets cloverleaf.
The moveable visor is locked by a pin mounted in the lowest stage. The helmet has a leather inlay and chin strap with buckle.
The late medieval helmet type Sallet was usually worn with a matching , beard or gorget.

Size: suitable for head circumference up to 62 cm.
Front to back: approx 23.5 cm
Side to side (ear-ear): 19 cm
Material: 1.6 mm steel
Including inlay and leather chin strap
Finish: polished (oiled).
