German Pappenheimer Rapier, 17th century
This socalled "Pappenheimer" sword is characterised by a basket-shaped guard that protects the hand. It takes its name from Gottfried Heinrich zu Pappenheim, a field marshall of the 30 year war. His famous regiment was fond of this type of rapier.
Delivery includes a wooden scabbard with leather wrapping and steel fittings
