The French Gorget, 16G steel is a wearable reconstruction from the 13th century. The original French Gorget was displayed in the Wallace Collection and can now be seen at the Parision Louvre. It is described thoroughly in Sir Guy Francis Lakingin's book "A record of European Armours and Arms through Seven Centuries".
The leather strap is used to adjust the collar size .
