European Close Helmet / Visored Helm, ca. 1520, 1.6 mm steel

This reproduction of a typical early 16th century jousting helmet with hinged visor (known as close helm or closehelmet) is made from 1.6 mm thick sheet steel and only suitable to a limited extent for combat re-enactment.

It features a comfortable leather liner and a chin strap with buckle.
