Our chainmail Standard is made from 8mm i.d. flat rings closed with domed rivet heads and alternating rows of solid punched rings.
A mail collar worn strapped around the neck was called a pixane or standard. Standards were worn during the late medieval period and was sewn or tied to clothing or gambesons to give cover to areas not protected by armour.
