Voiders were popular in the Late Middle Ages and were sewn onto clothing (eg. gambeson) or attached with cords.
European Flat Ring Chain Mail. This weave consists of flat rings with round rivets. There are alternate rows of solid punched and riveted flat rings. We call this type of chain mail FRM (=Flat Ring Round Rivet-heads Mixed.)
