RRZ Chain Mail Shirt Hauberk Riveted Zinc Plated
A hauberk is a long-sleeved shirt and it’s length reaches to the knees.
This historically authentic cut is often extended by frontal and / or lateral splits for better mobility of the wearer. As a result, this long chain mail can be worn comfortably by riders on horses. Our Hauberk has no splits, but it can be individually customised by the wearer. In addition, it has conical shaped sleeves tapering by one ring every 5 cm. 
The RRZ chain mail type:
This particular mesh is composed of round, zinc-plated steel rings. Every single ring has been riveted by hand with round rivets. The weave is 4 in 1. This type is called RRZ (Round Ring Zinc-plated). Compared to plain, natural mail finish, galvanising offers a quite good protection against corrosion. Over time, the initial glossy appearance of the zinc coating will fade to a matte grey finish.
